American Staffing Association Inducts Bob Livonius at Annual Convention

AMN Healthcare Services,'s largest staffing provider and workforce innovator continues to lead the industry, as Bob Livonius, AMN President of Strategic Workforce Solutions, was elected Chairman of the Board for the American Staffing Association (ASA) -- the first time in ASA's history that an executive with a healthcare staffing company has been named to the position. The induction took place during the trade group's annual meeting at Staffing World 2012, the ASA's annual convention and expo, held in Las Vegas.

As President of Strategic Workforce Solutions at AMN Healthcare, Livonius is an industry thought leader who brings a wealth of staffing and recruiting experience to his new role. He had previously served as First Vice Chairman of the 24-person ASA Board of Directors.

"I am honored to serve in this new capacity as ASA Chairman, and look forward to the opportunity to advocate on behalf of our members, our clients, and the millions of people we place and employ every day," said Livonius, a staffing veteran with more than 20 years in the industry.

The association is the voice of the U.S. staffing industry and the advocate for staffing and recruiting firms across the United States.

In addition to maintaining the association's focus on strong and effective legal and legislative advocacy at the state and federal levels, Livonius also plans to focus his efforts on continuing to develop best practices for ASA members, growing its membership and expanding the group's data reach. "ASA has been known for years as the respected source of data that supports the use of temporary help," he said. "I would like to see us enhance the richness, breadth and depth of that data."

Livonius joined AMN Healthcare two years ago as President, Strategic Workforce Solutions when Medfinders was acquired by the company Livonius had served for seven years as Chief Executive Officer of Medfinders. He served as Chief Operating Officer for publicly-held Spherion Corp. (formerly Interim Services), responsible for $3.5 billion in revenues and 1,200 offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Livonius also held the position of Executive Vice President of Healthcare Operations, and was responsible for expanding the healthcare division to more than $700 million in revenues in healthcare staffing and home care services. He holds bachelor's degrees in both marketing and engineering from the University of Colorado.
