APSCo Recruitment Practice Standard examination proves a winner for Capital International

Consultants at Capital International, the specialist technical staffing company, have excelled in the Recruitment Practice Standard (RPS) examination which was rolled out to all sales staff with more than one years’ experience. The APSCo RPS Examination Centre is a unique web-based assessment hub for recruiters, promoting excellence throughout the professional staffing industry.

The RPS has three levels of assessment based on an employee's recruitment experience and has been developed to be thorough, challenging and a benchmark for industry excellence. Each assessment has approximately 100 multiple choice questions, split into six modular categories, which are randomly picked by the system from a library of questions to ensure that no two examinations are the same. To make each of the assessments more rigid, there is a predetermined time limit to complete each one, as you would do if sitting an A-level or GCSE examination.

Almost two thirds of Capital International’s sales team have, to date, achieved accreditation to one of the three RPS levels and 80% of those passed with merit.

Commenting on the RPS Gill Hamilton-Orr, HR Manager at Capital International said: “Whilst more challenging than anticipated, it has proven to be a very worthwhile exercise in terms of assessing skills and affirming knowledge acquired&hellipand the sweet taste of passing made it all the more worthwhile!”

Marilyn Davidson, Director of APSCo, says: “I’m delighted that Capital International has not only invested in the RPS for its staff, but also just how well everyone performed. The sales team should be proud of their hard work in demonstrating they are adhering to excellence and the highest professional standards in the staffing industry. “
