Blue Pelican breaks two World Records

Blue Pelican breaks two World Records

Specialist recruitment business Blue Pelican now holds two official Guinness World Records following a team building event in September. The records set by staff at the Tunbridge Wells based company are:

Fastest time to build a 10 x 10 x 10 pyramid using polystyrene cups - 98 seconds

Fastest time to pass 8 tennis balls between 8 people - 12.72 seconds

Conrad Chant, one of the Directors of Blue Pelican said "In 1973, I was given a Guinness Book of World Records for Christmas which I read from cover to cover. It has been a dream ever since to break a World Record and the company’s 10 year anniversary seemed the perfect opportunity to achieve it. It's fantastic to have broken two in one day. We're very proud of all our Consultants. They really got behind the spirit of the day and enjoyed themselves. Becoming World Record Breakers was just the icing on the cake."

And Blue Pelican narrowly missed on a third record – Keeping the most number of balloons in the air for a minute – when the large balloons used for the task proved very uncooperative. The team building event was organised by Blue Hat who hosted the day, providing the trainers to coach the Blue Pelican staff and ensured the official invigilator from Guinness World Records attended to judge the record attempts. Official videos of the world record breaking tasks are now on the Guinness world record website.
