Optionis Launches With Commitment to Growth

The management team of Parasol, ClearSky and Silverline has created a new parent brand for the businesses called Optionis. Optionis (pronounced op’tee:ownis) comes from Latin and means assistant, helper or enabler.

The creation of Optionis is part of a strategy to grow the group by becoming a professional workforce management and SME support business.

Parasol is well known in the UK as being one of the biggest umbrella companies but over time the organisation has widened its proposition to become a professional employment organisation (PEO).

In addition to Parasol, Optionis also includes ClearSky, which provides business services to SMEs, such as accountancy and HR support, and Silverline, a web-based sales performance software tool.

To achieve its goal to become a professional workforce and SME support business, the Optionis management team have committed to a three point plan:

??Optionis will target growth in SME support services and expand its offering to include a broader range of services to complement accountancy and HR. The organisation will develop new propositions or entire businesses, for example legal services and niche tax services

? Parasol will continue to build on its reputation as the UK’s number one Professional Employment Organisation (PEO).

? The organisation will either launch or acquire new businesses to achieve its goals. These & lsquo;new’ businesses might also focus on:

o Workforce Management Services (management, payroll, audit and compliance)

o Targeting growth from a wider range of sectors and workforce types.

o Seeking greater collaboration with recruitment partners, such as AMS and Hays

Rob Crossland, Chief Executive of Optionis said, “Optionis is a corporate brand that better articulates our group of businesses and their aims and objectives. When we started on our journey as Parasol we were very much focused on being an umbrella company but the group is now so diverse that this is no longer the right brand for the group to sit under. Optionis gives us room to innovate and grow our business across a much broader range of activities which in turn allows the businesses we partner with to get on and grow.”
