Orion Group secures position on Sunday Times Top Track 250

Scotland’s biggest manpower provider, Orion Group, have secured a place on the latest Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250. The league table ranks the top 250 biggest private companies based on financial performance.

Track 250 is compiled by Fast Track who have created a network of the UK’s top-performing private companies and entrepreneurs.

Inclusion in this league demonstrates that Orion Group continues to stand shoulder to shoulder with the best operators in the UK. Last year’s Top Track 250 league table was topped by Partnership Life Assurance with sales of &pound588m.

This comes on the back of a highly successful year for Scotland’s biggest manpower provider who recently announced strong financial results to year end 31 December 2011. Turnover rose 25percent to &pound308m (2010: &pound246.3m). Profits increased to &pound9.14m (2010: &pound5.65m), up 62percent.

Chairman of Orion Group, Alan Savage said: “It is an honour to be recognised amongst the top companies in the UK in the Top Track 250. 2012 was a highly successful year for Orion Group and we strive to further this success in the coming year.”

Orion Group was also recently awarded the SCDI Highlands and Islands Chairman Award for Outstanding Business Achievement as well as ranking number one recruitment provider in Scotland in an annual league table by Recruitment International magazine - The Top 250 Report.
