Search appointed to support NewGalexy Scottish recruitment drive as it opens first onshore LPO in Scotland
NewGalexy is expanding its current offshore based services by launching an onshore legal process outsourcing (LPO) delivery centre in Glasgow. Its legal process outsourcing operations will support large global businesses and law firms as the way in which legal services are delivered continues to change and develop. As part of this new development 50 jobs will be created and local recruitment consultancy Search will be responsible for the sourcing, management and assessment of the 50 lawyers who are required as NewGalexy seek to make an impact on the European market.
The expansion is in response to increasing demands for onshore European legal support services and will complement NewGalexy’s present offshore LPO operations.
The early focus of NewGalexy’s onshore business will be provision of managed legal support services to law firms, legal risk management and supporting the delivery of legal services to particular business sectors including banking and finance, engineering and construction and technology, media and telecommunications.
Robert Glennie, NewGalexy’s co-founder and executive chairman said: “I am delighted that, of the various European locations that we explored, Scotland has come out on top. Search, as a company headquartered in Scotland, has an established reputation within the marketplace as expert recruiters and I am delighted to be working with their Legal recruitment specialists on this project. Scotland has an excellent pool of legal talent which could allow it to become a leading base for LPO services.”
Simone Lockhart, Managing Director for Search in Scotland said: “NewGalexy’s decision to invest in Scotland is a clear signal of their belief in the talent we have within the Scottish jobs market. We’re delighted to be handling a recruitment brief of this scale and believe the experience and capabilities within our Legal division will ensure we help NewGalexy source the ambitious and skilled lawyers needed for these high quality jobs. It’s fantastic news for Scotland and we’re proud to be driving this significant recruitment campaign”
