Sonovate expands into Australia

UK-based alternative recruitment model is breaking into the Australian recruitment market, its first international expansion

Sonovate is launching an Australian branch of its business, offering recruiters 'down under' the same cloud-based package that has already helped establish over 50 recruitment start-ups in the UK since March this year. Australian recruiters can now rely on Sonovate to handle all of the administrative and back office duties associated with starting and owning a company. The benefit is that they can focus their attentions on the task of recruiting, earning more in the process.

Since its UK launch in March, Sonovate has helped a wide range of individuals, from contract to permanent recruiters, from top-billing managers to working mothers and existing start-ups, get their businesses off the ground. The founders, Damon Chapple and Richard Prime, expect Sonovate to repeat this success in Australia.

“We know the demand is there,” explains Prime. “As soon as Sonovate started trading we began receiving enquiries from around the world, including Australia, and these have continued as we’ve grown.”

While the move may seem ambitious for a young company without prior international experience, Prime and Chapple are confident that Sonovate’s business model will travel well. Australia offers many opportunities for recruiters aiming to establish agencies in growth sectors as diverse as mining, tourism, sales and marketing.

Prime comments: “We're thrilled to be expanding Sonovate into Australia. The feedback we have had in the UK has been overwhelmingly positive: our subscribed recruiters have all experienced the enhanced income, flexibility and job satisfaction that accompanies business ownership. They have been working the hours they choose and in the sectors they favour, safe in the knowledge that we are handling all auxiliary aspects of their business for them. We can’t wait to see it take off in Australia too.”
