A leap of faith in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance

Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk: Two of the team from East Anglia based Cooper Lomaz Recruitment faced one of their worst nightmares in an endeavour to raise money for a most worthy charity, the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Despite her fear of heights, Charlotte Cooper found herself volunteering to take part in a Sky Dive as a result of the & lsquo;Massive Goals Principle' training course she attended in the summer.

"Everyone on the course was a witness to my impulse so there was no way I could back out even if I wanted to," Charlotte commented. However, once back in the office, she thought it might be fun, if she could coerce a fellow adventurer. When approached by Charlotte, Emma O'Brien immediately (and bravely) agreed.

"Nerves replaced bravado in both of us as the appointed time drew nearer," said Emma, "but we duly turned up at the North London Parachute Centre on a cold and foggy Saturday and signed our lives away - and then had to wait, .. and wait .. for the fog to clear!

"However, clear it did. Terror kicked in while hanging out of the plane at 10,000 feet, followed by a massive adrenalin rush while free-falling, and relief once the parachute opened."

Charlottefinishes by saying, "We both agree that it was a most amazing experience. The team at the parachute centre were a great bunch and everyone at Cooper Lomaz has been really supportive, keeping our moral buoyant, pledging money and helping with fundraising. The result was that we raised &pound1,200 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, which carries out such vital work."
