aap³ Makes An Olympic Appointment
Global recruitment and IT services provider, aap³, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Jim O’Donnell, as Chief Operating Officer.
The Hampshire-based organisation has made the appointment following a number of significant client wins during 2012, and to assist with growth plans looking ahead to 2013.
Jim brings with him 35-years of recruitment and IT experience and recently headed up the planning and implementation of the much-lauded, Cisco House project at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The 20,000-square-foot Cisco House showcase was a true success at this summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games and Jim oversaw the entire project from plan to deconstruct. Cisco House had over 11,000 visitors from May to September, all by invite only, targeting business decision makers.
Jim commented: “My motto in life is & lsquo;try to step out of your comfort zone every once in a while’ and with the constantly changing world of HR and recruitment, there isn’t a more exciting industry in which to do this.
“I’ve known Rod and the team at aap³ for a number of years and when the chance came to join this fast moving company, there’s no way I could have turned the opportunity down. There is so much talent here at aap³, and part of my role will be to nurture and develop that valuable resource.”
Jim’s career has also seen a spell in consultancy, making him an ideal candidate for a company with a focus on global as well as technical recruitment.
“There is nothing more valuable to an organisation than its people,” added Jim. “This will be increasingly true as the economy evolves and companies look to reduce their risk but still attract the best talent.”
Rod Jackson, President and Chief Executive of aap³ commented on the appointment: “We are delighted Jim has joined the team as Chief Operating Officer. He brings with him a wealth of experience and an exceptionally strong understanding of where the recruitment sector is heading.
“Jim will be a great mentor for our team, and will be assisting me with the day-to-day running of the business he will have an important role to play in our growth plans for both the workforce, and the business moving forward.”
