APSCo Bollywood Charity Ball raises over £50,000 for ChildLine
The Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) held its 13th annual charity ball in aid of ChildLineon Friday 23rd November 2012 at The InterContinental Hotel, in London. The charity ball was generously sponsored by First Choice Software, a leading supplier of recruitment software since 1996. The event was attended by 500 guests.
As always the charity ball was themed, with this years’ guests transported to Bollywood for an evening of fine food, drink and entertainment. Guests arrived to Champagne reception, which was followed by a speech from Esther Rantzen CBE. Attendees were entertained by dance troop Bollywood Dance London, a formula 1 car, karaoke, dance heads, a disco and lucky dips. All guests left with a Bollywood themed goodie bag full of donations.
Broadbean Technologyalso sponsored the 8th annual Champagne Diamond Draw where the lucky winner Nicola Walden from eSynergy Solutions won a diamond Tiffany & Co necklace.
Ann Swain, APSCo’s chief executive says, “We would like to thank all those who attended and supported ChildLine so generously. I’m sure our guests will agree that we all had a fantastic evening in aid of a very worthy cause.”
In September 2011, APSCowas announced as an official partner of the NSPCC. The NSPCC’s ChildLine, APSCo’schosen charity, was formed in 1985 and since then has lent support and practical advice to all children under the age of 18. In 2006/7, ChildLineprovided counselling to over 600,000 children. By 2011 it aims to provide counselling support for 1.2 million calls plus 380,000 online and SMS contacts.
