Cummins Mellor recruiters were in buoyant mood at their Annual Presentation held at Stanley House this month. Now in their 22nd year of business, the Accrington based Recruitment Company reflected on a year that has “much to celebrate.” 

Richard Mellor (Managing Director) commented that: Despite gloomy economic conditions Cummins Mellor Recruitment. continues to improve year on year, our Relief Hospitality Department, ChefsjobsUK who  provide chefs across the country grew by 22%,Personnel Checks our CRB Checking Division grew by 20%  and our East Lancashire Recruitment Team, who work with many  top local companies providing Finance, Legal, Sales and Administration staff strengthened its market position and continues to be the leading independent recruitment consultancy in Lancashire. We have almost completed a total refurbishment of our offices on Whalley Rd in Accrington, providing clients with an interview facility beyond compare in this area, which will provide, Professional meet and greet service, 3 beautiful soundproof interview rooms, full refreshment facilities as well as a suite of brand new offices for our consultants and fantastic staff room. We are very much looking forward to what we fully expect to be a record year in 2012/13”

Presenting the awards was guest of honour, Chief Executive of the East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce Mike Damms. Mike complimented the Directors on their open management style and their team of staff on their enthusiasm and commitment to the investment and growth of the business as well as the success the company has achieved with Modern Apprentices.

“The “Most improved Performance” was by the Personnel Checks section and the company celebrating their recent investment to IT with a complete online CRB system which links directly with the Criminal Records Bureau and is totally paperless. Consultant of the Year was June Crossley who heads up the Temporary Hospitality Division and is responsible for placing relief Chefs across the UK”

The award recipients : “Best Newcomer” Jennifer Wright, “Customer Service Champion”, Angela Thomas “Consultant of the Year” June Crossley, “Department of the Year”Hospitality  “Going the Extra Mile” Jodie Morgan and “Unsung Hero” was won equally by Krissi Aitkin and Tracey Beveridge.
