Specialist digital, creative and advertising recruiter Cogs Agency has opened two new offices in Hong Kong and Berlin. This international expansion marks a significant milestone in the company’s development, and is a direct result of increased demand for digital talent across Europe and Asia from Cogs Agency’s multinational client base.
Cogs Agency Hong Kong opened 1st November, and is headed by Damien Bell, associate director for Asia. Damien brings eight years of recruitment experience across the digital, legal and PR sectors, having previously worked in Cogs Agency’s London office placing candidates into account management, strategy, and delivery roles. Overall business strategy and direction will be provided by Chris Frost, Cogs Agency founder and director. Located in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central district, the new office will provide freelance and permanent recruitment services to clients in Hong Kong, mainland China and Singapore.
Cogs AgencyBerlinopened 1st October, and is headed by Mathieu Ritter, senior consultant. Mathieu brings five years of experience in marketing and management consulting recruitment across France and Germany. Overall business strategy and direction will be provided by Liam Morgan, Cogs Agency founder and director. Located in Berlin’s Mitte district, the new office will provide freelance and permanent recruitment services to clients across Germany.
To support the new offices, Cogs Agency will leverage the experience of the 25-strong digital team already in place in London. The London office will work closely with the Berlin and Hong Kong operations to share client and candidate information, and maintain a strong sense of consultancy and client service. In addition, the company is actively recruiting local teams in each market and training them to become digital industry specialists.
Commenting on the move, Cogs Agency Founder and Director Chris Frost said, “We’ve always been interested in emerging and developing markets, where digital media is increasingly being used in advertising and business. Over the last 4 years we’ve been doing more business across Asia and Europe, often relocating candidates from the UK and North America to take roles with our clients based there, so the opening of these two offices merely underpins this shift and the relationships we’ve already established.”
Frost continued, “Digital is now a global market where consumers are universally using digital devices and media in their lives. This opens the opportunity for us to create a global network of offices even though we’re a niche headhunting and recruitment business. We’re looking forward to scaling-up our new offices to keep pace with the talent demands in the web, mobile, and tablet industries around the world, and we feel in a strong position to continue to provide the best digital talent to our clients.”
