CV-Library Wins & lsquo;Business of the Year Award’

Not one but two highly valued awards for leading job board CV-Library Business of the Year and Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50

Hundreds of entries came from a variety of sectors to showcase their business excellence, in this year’s most competitive Inspire Business Awards. Open to companies based in north Hampshire the rigorous judging process included a presentation in front of a panel of judges.

Lee Biggins, Managing Director of CV-Library says: “Winning not only a regional business award but Business of the Year is something we’re all extremely honoured to have achieved. My business partner, Brian Wakem, and I have worked very hard over the past 12 years to not only push CV-Library to be one of the leading job boards in the UK but to be recognised as one of the strongest businesses in this local area.

“The judging process was very thorough, so being recognised for our accomplishments against the hundreds of successful businesses is very humbling for myself and the entire team here at CV-Library. Plus, being ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 only the week before has rounded off the year on a high.”

The Inspire Business Awards have been running for eight years and they are North Hampshire’s biggest regional awards with over 500 business representatives attending this year’s spectacular event, held at the Hampshire Court Hotel in Basingstoke.

The evening’s compere, Mark Jones, Editor of the Basingstoke Gazette presented the award to CV-Library and commented on their unwavering focus and clear strategy and ethics, adding: “The structured way they have grown and marketed themselves makes them a business we should all be very proud of in North Hampshire.”

CV-Library also remain as the fastest growing career focused company in the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50, as they rank at no. 11 for the South East region due to their exceptional growth of 427% over the past five years. These awards attract an array of businesses with combined revenue of &pound1.5 billion, the highest it has been for the last five years and 38% higher than last year a clear sign that the recession isn’t holding the Fast 50 companies back.

David Halstead, Deloitte partner leading the Technology Fast 50, says: “The Fast 50 awards are an opportunity for businesses to gain recognition for their successes and achievements. This year’s ranking highlights the importance of being innovative and finding a niche product or service, to beat the recession.”

This is the second year CV-Library has been recognised by Deloitte and they also hope to be ranked in the Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2012 awards, which will be revealed on 30th November.

Following on from an extremely successful year CV-Library will focus on growing even stronger during 2013, with more online marketing campaigns, a stronger offline presence than ever before and an estimated increase of 1.4 million CVs to their online database.
