Dynamic Duo leads Orion Group expansion in Aberdeen

The UK’s leading, independent oil and gas manpower provider is adding to its growing empire with the double promotion of Mark Ingram and Steven Greig in Aberdeen.  The dynamic duo is set to drive the Orion Group’s expansion plans.

Mark Ingram is to assume the role of chief operator officer after Orion Group experienced significant growth which has resulted in a restructure within the company. Mark is now responsible for an extensive number of clients in Scotland, Holland and the Caspian.

Mark said: “The restructure within Orion Group will enable us to makes the most of our international contracts and add to our existing business remit.”

Steven Greig who has been promoted to divisional director, focuses primarily on Aberdeen which contributes to a quarter of Orion Group’s overall turnover. This is a percentage that, according to Steven, is set to increase.

Steven Greig who has been with Orion Group for six years said: “We aim to target a greater market share going forward. This new role has been a very positive step. The restructure allows for greater communication within our network and enables us to adopt the best practice for our clients.”

This is not the first time that Mark and Steven have worked together. Mark added: “Steven and I crossed paths over 20 years ago before either of us came to Orion Group. We have been working together a long-time and we are looking forward to continuing our team approach in bringing the business closer to its goal of being the UK’s leading manpower provider in all sectors.”

This double promotion comes on the back of a highly successful year for Orion Group who recently announced strong financial results to year end 31 December 2011. Turnover rose 25percent to &pound308m (2010: &pound246.3m). Profits increased to &pound9.14m (2010: &pound5.65m), up 62percent.
