Morgan McKinley Gives Aldwych a Las Vegas Style Makeover for Charity

Recruitment agency Morgan McKinley hosted a very special Vegas Glamour event on the evening of Wednesday 28th November in aid of the much loved Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

The evening hosted for its clients operating in secretarial and business support, was held at the company’s London office in Aldwych. Over a hundred clients and business contacts attended to support the cause and take part in pre-Christmas networking. The office was transformed with a Vegas theme meeting rooms were renovated into iconic Vegas hotels, casino tables took residence in reception, a swing singer set the mood and a mixologist welcomed guests with signature cocktails. Guests also enjoyed Vegas style games and were given various pamper opportunities including spray tanning sessions for that Vegas style glow.

The money raised contributes to the total of &pound941 raised by Morgan McKinley for the Rainbow Trust, a charity that provides emotional and practical support individually tailored to families of children with a life threatening or terminal illness. The charity relies on fundraising for 95% of its income so events like this are essential in providing vital support to families when they need it most.

Rainbow Trust’s Head of Fundraising, Emma Haines, says: “We are really grateful to Morgan McKinley for putting on this event. As well as raising vital funds, such support also provided a unique opportunity for Rainbow Trust to raise awareness of the emotional and practical support it provides to families facing the most unimaginable circumstances, their child having a life threatening or terminal illness”

The event was organised by Tara Wallace and Emily Maher, managers of the secretarial and business support division at Morgan McKinley. Emily Maher added, “We decided to hold this event to provide clients including small start-up businesses with networking opportunities. We realise that it has been difficult for SMEs and start-ups to keep profitable in this market and this evening of fun, glamour and pampering was a great way to kick off the Christmas celebrations. In addition it was a chance for us to raise much needed funds and awareness of our charity of choice, The Rainbow Trust which the company began supporting earlier this year.”
