Survival of the Fittest

On the 17th of November Square One’s Stuart Lo, Bronwynn Joyce, Stefan Albers-Brough, Stuart Schuitmaker, Lauren Clough, James Gambles, Lewis Cocker and Andrew Duncan are competing in the Men's Health "Survival of the Fittest" challenge Battersea Park, London to raise money for Havens Hospices.

The team will be taking part in a classic survival course which encompasses a 10km run with difficult obstacles en route including swimming through an ice water filled skip, jumping hurdles and scaling a large wall. The event is held by the riverside in the heart of London at one of its best-known landmarks: The mega-structure that is Battersea Power Station – Europe’s largest brick building.

About the run Stuart Lo, Square One Sales Consultant said “In a sales environment you have to have tenacity, energy and great team work and this day will be no different. During the week we’re mostly at our desks so we’re looking forward to taking part in an event which will push us to our physical limits as well. Havens Hospices has to raise &pound100k a week in order to provide people with the help they need and the team is really excited about supporting Havens in raising these funds. ”

The team has set up a Just Giving page ( which contains further details. All proceeds raised from the sponsorship goes to Havens Hospices.

Havens Hospice comprises two elements:

Fair Havens is an adult hospice which opened its doors in June 1983 and since then has cared for over 20,000 patients and their families.

Little Havens Children's Hospice, Essex, officially opened in March 1998 and since then has cared for over 1,000 children and offered vital support to their siblings and families.
