Trust staff celebrated at the Proud Awards 2012 with ID Medical

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust celebrated the success and continued dedication of their staff’s achievements at its Proud Awards 2012 ceremony. 

Following the shortlisting of dozens of nominees, six individuals and five teams celebrated winning Awards across eight different categories.  

The winners on the evening were are follows: & lsquo;The Most Accomplished Learner’ sponsored by The University of Sheffield was awarded to Ifrah Saleh,& lsquo;Our Top Leader’ sponsored by Timothy James Consulting went to Gail Smith, & lsquo;Volunteer of the Year’ sponsored by Hallam FM was won by Margaret Turner, Diane Bush and the Rotherham Community Health Centre Domestics Team won an & lsquo;Unsung Hero’ Award which was sponsored by Practicus, & lsquo;Patient's Shining Star’ sponsored by BridgeHead Software went to Day Surgery, & lsquo;Board Team of the Year’ sponsored by Mills & Reeve was awarded to Specialist Medicine and also the Clinical Administration Team, the & lsquo;Lifetime Achievement’ Award sponsored by ID Medical and presented by Stuart Abrahart was awarded to Dr Margaret Rowland, the Chairman’s Award was presented to the Day Surgery team and the final Award of the evening, the Trust Appreciation Award sponsored by Datix Ltd, was awarded to Kath Copp.

Chief Executive, Brian James said: “I am immensely proud of the achievements of all our staff over the past year and believe that they do an outstanding job for the people of Rotherham.  We are proud to be part of this vibrant and diverse community and hope that our community are as proud of us proud of the care and facilities we provide in good times and in bad. The Proud 2012 Awards ceremony showcased some of the commitment, passion and talent that deserves to be recognised and rewarded.  I would also like to take this opportunity to say, that despite the challenges caused by the global financial crisis and its impact on the public sector, we are confident that the Trust will continue to improve its services and maintain the confidence of the people of Rotherham in their local Trust.”

ID Medical’s managing director, Deenu Patel commented “Our dedicated team to The Rotherham NHS Trust at ID Medical was very excited to be invited to present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr Rowland, and hopes to continue to form part of the extended staffing team at the trust.  ID Medical is delighted to help celebrate excellence and innovation in Healthcare and congratulates Dr Rowland.”
