GCS Retain IiP for the Fifth Time

Back in 2000, GCS began working with Investors in People, becoming IIP accredited in time around the time of the company’s 10th anniversary. Now, in a year that marks GCS’ 21st anniversary, the Technology and Financial Services recruitment specialist has, for the fifth time, been awarded the prestigious Investors in People accreditation.

In their review, IIP assessors noted that GCS has “an open, trusting and empowering culture that is conducive to high levels of engagement, enthusiasm and motivation.” Other feedback included comments that “clear progression targets, supported by effective learning and development opportunities, ensure that capability is built at all levels” and “the Investors in People Standard is being met and exceeded in many areas.”

The accrediting company seeks to endorse businesses whose management teams embody what the Chartered Management Institute cite as the six recurring features of inspirational leaders genuinely caring, involving everybody, active listening, ensuring work is fun, sharing deep commitment with their team, and showing plenty of appreciation for the effort of their colleagues. The IIP assessors noted that “Directors and managers exemplify these features” and “inspire and motivate people to achieve their full potential.

“I’m delighted to have retained our accreditation through to 2015” says GCS HR Manager Amanda Cleary. “I feel it is fitting testament to the many people who work so diligently to ensure that our career-long training process is challenging, supportive and rewarding. When you consider the IIP accreditation alongside our three consecutive Best Companies’ 3 Star rankings, they combine to show we really do put a lot of time, effort and resource into the development and wellbeing of our employees, making GCS a truly great place to work”.
