Venn Group becomes first recruitment consultancy to be awarded credit management accreditation

Specialist temporary consultancy Venn Group’scredit control team has been awarded the Quality in Credit Management (QICM) accreditation by the Institute of Credit Management(ICM), in a move which positions the company as the sole recruiter to hold this status.

The QICM is awarded to businesses which demonstrate best practice credit management, and is tested in an in-depth assessment by the ICM.  Companies are assessed in five areas: credit policy, compliance, customer service, staff development, monitoring performance and stakeholder management.   Venn Group’s credit control team joins a list of high profile organisations – including Shell, HSBC, EDF Energy and Siemens – which have gained the professional accreditation.

Venn Group was recognised by the ICM as having a good understanding of credit management throughout the company. Its report stated that, “The level of information available to the business, the reporting and the awareness of credit within the business is excellent”. It was also noted that, “It is rare to visit a company where the need to reduce debt and the accountability of this is widely accepted across the whole business not just the Credit Control Team”.

Keith Wilmott, Venn Group’s Chief Financial Officer, commented: “This award is a fantastic achievement for Venn Group and more specifically the credit control team.  To be recognised following a rigorous, but fair assessment not only demonstrates our commitment to best practice, but also the calibre of our credit control team. Having a strong finance department is crucial to the smooth running of our business and this accreditation is testament to the team – one which should be incredibly proud of itself.”
