Healthy Boost For CRG Following NHS Announcement

Healthy Boost For CRG Following NHS Announcement

Health service provider and recruitment group, CRG (Castlerock Recruitment Group), has been appointed to a joint framework, by two of the country’s largest procurement organisations, creating the opportunity to supply allied health professionals and health science services staff to the NHS.

The organisation is one of the potential suppliers successfully appointed to frameworks managed by Health Trust Europe (HTE) – a European group purchasing organisation, with its headquarters in Birmingham – and London Procurement Partnership (LPP), a procurement specialist working on behalf of its member NHS trusts and hospitals in the capital.

As part of the agreement, CRG will have the opportunity to supply the trusts managed by HTE and LPP. Under the new framework agreement, over 26 acute, mental health, community and primary care trusts across the UK are signed up to HTE, while LPP works with a further 73 trusts in London.

According to CRG, the agreement will give the business the opportunity to capture a large slice of the NHS’s annual temporary recruitment bill – which currently totals &pound129 million a year.

Paul Booth, managing director of CRG South, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with two of the largest procurement organisations in the UK. Between them, they are responsible for maximising the purchasing power of NHS trusts up and down the country.

“To gain a place on these frameworks, CRG had to undergo a rigorous assessment of its business model and capabilities. We will be working hard to deliver the highest quality candidates with a keen eye on care and compliance.”

CRG is a health service provider and recruitment group that was established in 2000. Currently turning over &pound15.3 million a year, the company specialises in the supply of medical locums, GPs, allied health professionals and health science services staff, together with qualified nursing and healthcare staff, domiciliary care services and supported living. It currently employs 112 from its headquarters in Merseyside.
