One Way Goes Platinum

One Way Goes Platinum

Construction recruitment specialists One Way have received a Construction Skills Certificate of Commitment Platinum Award.

This is the highest award given by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and means that over 90 per cent of One Way’s temporary, contract and permanent staff holds a CSCS card which demonstrates their occupational competence and knowledge of working safely on a construction site.

This is the second time the company, whose staff are 100 per cent CSCS compliant, has received a Platinum Award.

The CSCS scheme was set up to help the construction industry improve product quality and reduce the number of accidents on building sites. It is the industry's largest skills card accreditation scheme and covers 220 occupations including trades, technical, supervisory and management. Most contractors now demand proof that temporary and contract staff are competent workers before allowing them to work on a construction site.

“We’re extremely proud to receive this Platinum Award which recognises One Way’s commitment to providing our construction clients with a properly qualified CSCS card-holding workforce,” says Paul Payne, managing director of One Way. “As a responsible recruiter and employer, it’s important to us that we ensure that all our contract staff gain their CSCS card and are properly trained and certified to safely operate machinery and equipment before we place them and they go out on site.”
