TARGETjobs grabs larger market share and becomes UK’s fastest growing graduate jobsite

TARGETjobs was the fastest growing graduate jobsite in the Autumn, according to independent data analysts Experian Hitwise.

Over the period August to December 2012, TARGETjobs’ market share grew an amazing 8.17% to 21.05% while in the same period major competitor Milkround dropped 4.44% to 15.60%. And in the whole of 2012, TARGETjobs increased its market share of searches within this niche of the online job industry by 85% and in doing so has leapfrogged above Prospects and Milkround as a relevant destination for graduate jobs.

And it’s not purely down to offering students the best and most diverse range of jobs in the UK. A serious investment in careers content and a relentless focus on optimising the site for search engines has meant that average monthly visits in the Autumn period increased to 693,500 with numbers peaking in November when 822,319 visits were recorded - 50% more than Milkround’s November visits of 549,913**. This is very good news for students in these challenging times and also for recruiters who can rely on TARGETjobs’ soaring numbers to reach the widest collection of well-matched candidates.

Chloe Burgess, Marketing Director at TARGETjobs, put the surge in numbers down to one thing: “We have invested heavily in delivering the content that students need to choose the right sector, the right career and the right employer and in helping them become better at applications and interviews. If your content is seen as practical, timely and authoritative, then students will come in their droves. And they most definitely are!”
