Creativepool launches new interactive forum for the creative industry

New site presents creative industry with an encyclopaedia of British creativity

12th February 2013 – Creativepool, one of the UK’s largest networks of creative talent, has relaunched to bring together individuals and organisations in a unique interactive community that showcases the very best of the UK’s creative talent.

The new site – has a strong focus on the visual element of creative work and provides a place where agencies, brands and individuals can promote their work through the use of portfolios, projects and show reels. The most significant development is the new tagging facility that credits people for their input into campaigns by adding a profile link of that person or team directly against each uploaded project - whether it’s television and billboard advertising, music, photography or interior design.

Michael Tomes, managing director of Creativepool said: “With our new platform, we’ve created a visual solution for a visually minded industry - it’s all about the work and telling that story beyond a traditional CV. We’re encouraging the global creative community to connect through their work by giving them a place where they can promote themselves, see what key movers in the industry are doing and gather inspiration for the future. It’s a massive step forward in terms of what we offer our community of users and we’ll be adding many more features throughout the year.”

Key elements of the new site include:

&middot         Giving agencies and brands a profile: The new site has been designed with companies in mind, giving them the kind of profile presence that has only been available to freelancers in the past. Through their own profile page, brands and agencies now have the tools they need to network with new businesses and engage with specific audiences by commenting on user projects and sharing their own campaigns.

&middot         Project zone: Creative professionals and organisations can upload samples of their work and link the creative agencies, in-house teams and individuals involved in the project by giving them credit for their contribution. These credits then take you direct to their profile pages.

&middot         Social networking link-ups: Users can sync their profile with other popular social networks Google, Twitter and Facebook and connect directly with friends who are already on

&middot         Jobs and advice: Careers advice and the latest jobs from big industry names including Cadbury, eBay, Rufus Leonard, Parker Williams, Amaze, Sky, Selfridges & Co, NoChintz and more.

&middot         Leader boards: Members can promote their work and invite others to vote for them via likes, inspiration pools, and shares, as well as downloading and adding badges to their own websites. The most popular projects and members (as voted for by the users themselves) will be shortlisted and the overall winners announced at the end of 2013, when their work will be showcased in the & lsquo;Winners’ Gallery’. Entrants stand to win bragging rights and more with prizes being announced later in the year.

Shaun Clarkson, renowned interior designer for the hospitality industry commented on the new launch:

“Everything that creatives do is about visual impact how our work looks and feels. Traditional CVs just don’t cut it anymore. This is a really exciting development Creativepool has become a unique site where people can show off their work, and connect with others through the things they create.”
