DHR International Sees Significant Growth in Europe in 2012

DHR International, a privately held global executive search firm, is pleased to announce a stronger than expected growth of 70 per cent in the firm’s 2012 European business revenues.

More than one-third of the European uplift can be attributed to the strong performance of the UK based life sciences practice acquired by DHR International in November 2011. During 2012, the life sciences team successfully placed significant assignments for three of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.

Significant growth was also experienced by DHR’s European industrials, FMCG and technology teams, which services international clients with significant investments in Germany, the UK, France, Switzerland and the Benelux region.

Frank Smeekes, DHR International board member and managing director for Europe, commented: “We are delighted to have been able to capture significant market share in our chosen practice areas despite the challenges being faced at the macro-economic level in Europe. Across all the sectors we are seeing Europe’s leading organizations continuing to develop their global management structures. And in this environment of change, it is those individuals and leaders with international skills not connected to a specific country that are in greatest demand.

“DHR’s European growth bears testimony to the deep domain knowledge of our consultants and our ability to rapidly deploy pan-European cross-border teams to source such talent for clients.”

Since 2009, DHR’s European operations which are head-quartered in Amsterdam have grown from a single office in Frankfurt to a 26 member team of consultants working from five offices in the UK, Holland, Germany and France – the company having opened its latest European office in Paris during 2012. Privately owned, DHR International is ranked as one of the world’s top five global executive search firms.
