HCL snaps up gold and platinum ratings in framework audits

HCL Doctors achieved scores of 96.21% (platinum) and 94.06% (gold) in recent Healthtrust Europe (HTE) and London Procurement Programme (LPP) Framework audits, showing excellent standards of compliance and clinical governance.

HCL Chief Executive Stephen Burke says the results reflect significant investment by HCL in developing their procedures and systems to support their clients’ commitment to patient care.

“We are pleased with the rating and feel it cements our position as a leading business capable of delivering high levels of service to the NHS and private sector.” Mr Burke said.

Framework audit result announcements come at a time when the quality of NHS staff and their care tops NHS agendas. David Cameron yesterday declared the government needs to & lsquo;purge’ a culture of complacency in the NHS’, and & lsquo;to put the patient first’, putting urgency on medical staffing agencies to become a part of the solution.

Mr Burke added: “To put things in perspective, of HCL Doctors’ staff compliment of over 100 people, our compliance support team accounts for over a third of the headcount, including an onsite clinical advisor who is also our responsible officer. Our growth and success over the past few years has not been at the expense of our commitment to quality and clinical governance.” .

HCL believes they can offer reassurance and commitment to trusts at a time where high standards are at the forefront of quality patient care, a pledge rival medical recruitment companies may struggle to match, as the list of failed audits begins to mount.

“The frameworks maximise investment in patient care and help to deliver high quality services while ensuring value for money, all of which is in-line with our service offering.”

HCL looks to demonstrate their capacity as a volume supplier on the new framework as well as build relationships with new clients and continue to deliver to existing customers.

LPP and HTE Frameworks work with trusts to make the most of purchasing power of the public sector in the UK and Europe.
