Project Resource opens new office in Bury St Edmunds

Project Resource opens new office in Bury St Edmunds

Project Resource’s fifth UK office – opens March 25th

Will service construction and infrastructure clients throughout the East of England

Project Resource, the specialist construction and engineering recruitment agency, is set to open its fifth office, in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, on March 25th.

This new office will add to Project Resource’s four established offices in the UK, in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Reading.

Project Resource says it is bucking the general trend of centralisation in the recruitment industry. Many recruitment companies are now more focused on closing regional offices in favour of larger London based offices.

The Bury St Edmunds location was chosen because it will allow Project Resource to offer a top class local service to clients in the East of England, including Suffolk, Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex. These areas are active in construction and infrastructure development, with a number of flagship projects in progress and planned for 2013.

Heading the new office will be Regional Manager Anthony Quinn, formerly the Regional Director of Hays recruitment for West Midlands, who has a total of 15 years’ experience in the construction recruitment industry.

Anthony Quinn comments: “We have made a very considered strategic decision to provide the specialist local services that businesses struggle to find in the current recruitment market.  Our main aim at Bury St Edmunds will be to deliver a well-tailored and dedicated recruitment service to customers throughout the East of England.

“Businesses that we talk to think that it is a shame more recruiters aren’t more committed to a local office strategy.”

“Clients and candidates really like dealing face to face with local recruiters but they also want a really high quality of service.  This, along with honest, detailed advice, will be the cornerstone of our working ethos.”

“Another advantage we offer to clients is our specialist focus on recruiting white collar professionals in our key sectors, such as construction and infrastructure.  This means that we fully understand clients’ requirements and can access a really strong network of exceptional candidates.  Nearly all agencies locally are generalists and cannot offer the comprehensive range of recruitment solutions available at Project Resource.”

Project Resource is opening the new office with a team of four, with plans to double the number of staff by the end of the year.

Anthony Quinn says: “Having lived and spent most of my life in the local area, I have a good knowledge of its businesses and candidates, and I understand the advantage of being able to pair local talent with local businesses.”

Anthony Quinn adds: “As we gear up for our March opening, I am keen to meet with as many customers, both clients and candidates, and potential staff as soon as possible.”

“I’m particularly keen to meet with experienced recruiters that are attracted to the quality of life offered by Bury St Edmunds, along with the commitment we offer to career development, training and the unparalleled staff retention we have at senior consultant level.”

In October 2012, Project Resource celebrated its tenth anniversary. The business originally focused on Commercial and Quantity Surveying and Planners and Project Controllers, and has now grown to 45 staff, recruiting white collar professionals in:

Energy, Power and Natural Resources

Engineering & Manufacturing

Property, Real Estate & Facilities Management
