Spencer Ogden forms partnership with subsidiary of First Quantum Minerals

Spencer Ogden has formed a strategic partnership with Kalumbila Minerals Ltd (FQMLsubsidiary) to manage the recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) programme for its Sentinel mining project in Zambia.

The RPO will deliver new mining jobs across all of Sentinel's mining operations through 2013. To support the project Spencer Ogden plans to open a permanent base in Cape Town, as well as on-site project office in Zambia, and will continue expanding its supporting Joint Venture office in Johannesburg.

Spencer Ogden CEO David Spencer-Percival comments: "We are very excited to get an opportunity to work with such a progressive mining company. The team at Sentinel is first class and with our partnership we believe it will become one of the best mining teams in operation. We look forward to developing a strong and prosperous relationship with Kalumbila Minerals Ltd and hope to work with them for the foreseeable future."

Part of the Trident project in Zambia, the Sentinel copper project is located approximately 150 kilometres west of the company's flagship Kansanshi mine. The life of mine strip ratio is anticipated to be 2.2:1, and the estimated mine life is in excess of 15 years. Large-scale mining licenses for the development of the Trident project, including the Sentinel project, were received from the Government of the Republic of Zambia in April 2011.
