Acre goes mobile to help job seekers

With a boom in smartphone adoption over recent years, mobile devices are becoming increasingly likely to be the & lsquo;go-to’ option for sustainability job searching.

Acre, a sustainability recruitment and business intelligence firm, has launched a new mobile-optimised website, acre.com, to help those working in the sector find their ideal job.

Reflecting a wider trend for job sites, Acre has seen mobile traffic increase by 134% in 2012 compared to the previous year, and with Google estimating that the number of daily searches from mobile devices will surpass those from PCs and laptops by 2014*, it’s clear that the future of job searching is mobile-friendly. Acre founder Andy Cartland says that the move toward a mobile-optimised site shows Acre’s commitment to providing a great service to the sustainability sector:

“More and more job searches are being undertaken on smartphones and tablets - and we wanted to make sure we weren’t missing out on top candidates just because they couldn’t navigate our website on a mobile. With our new website you can easily search our jobs and email a job description to yourself from a mobile device.”

A revamped & lsquo;News & Research’ section also provides a useful one-stop-shop for the latest market information and research from Acre, such as: industry news, event listings and free access to Acre’s industry-leading salary surveys and white papers.

Acre has also refocused its client services into three distinct recruitment products: Permanent Recruitment, Executive Search and Contract & Interim - and formalised its Business Intelligence offering that allows clients to leverage Acre’s unique data and unrivalled networks.
