Axis Recruitment are Putting on Their Running Shoes

To Raise &pound6,500 for Claire House Children’s Hospice

Chester based firm Axis Recruitment are gathering their staff together to run the Chester Half Marathon on May 12th to help pay for a day of care at Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Glen Walsh and 5 other Axis Consultants will be putting on their running shoes and will be racing as a team in order to support one another to raise plenty of money for Claire House. Those few from Axis who aren’t running on May 12th will be finding other ways to raise money for the children’s charity.

The hospice provides respite end-of-life and bereavement care for children and young adults with complex medical needs, up to the age of 23, as well as being there to support the whole family. The cost to run Claire House for just one day is &pound6,500 and this is exactly what Axis are looking to raise so they can pay for a day’s care. In fact, the day they are hoping to pay for is the day they are running the race!

Glen Walsh, Managing Director of Axis “Claire House is such a fantastic cause and we often try to support them in as many ways as we can. This is why our remarkable and generous team are willing to run the Half Marathon, in order to help Claire House continue to look after poorly children.”

Axis have also planned to visit the hospice on a number of occasions over the next few months to see for themselves the brilliant work that the staff at Claire House do, as well as visiting some of the children and families that rely so dearly on Claire House.

Abi from Claire House said “We are so happy that Axis Recruitment chose us as their charity to run the Chester &frac12 Marathon for. They have supported us kindly over the past few years, and the fact that a number of their team want to help and dedicate their time is so generous.”
