Church International launches Church Academy IT Recruitment Scheme.
Church International launches “Church Academy” IT Recruitment Scheme.
Church International, a cross-sector IT & Corporate Governance recruitment consultancy, has launched a scheme to identify and train some of the UK’s brightest young stars. The “Church Academy”, planned for launch in June 2013, is their first dedicated IT recruitment training scheme.
Following an extensive consultation process with Jo Gregory, a seasoned recruitment training professional, Church International has devised a comprehensive training programme to meet the particular requirements of the IT recruitment sector. It will give up to six youngsters from across the nation an introduction to IT recruitment, a foot on the employment ladder and a head start in building a successful recruitment career.
The new recruits will initially undergo three months on-the-job training in Church International’s busy office, followed by a longer-term personal career development plan tailored to each individual. Through an intensive eight module training programme the trainees will get an exclusive insight into a leading recruitment consultancy and receive invaluable training in key skills including proactive talent sourcing, social recruitment, managing the recruitment lifecycle, business development and Client and Candidate relationship building.
The Programme will specifically cover the fundamental differences between IT and general recruitment practises. Through a candidate-centric attraction and selection process, intensive classroom and at the desk training and an individual mentoring scheme throughout the first year of their careers, new starters will be able to integrate into the team and create an on-going structure of talent acquisition for the Business.
“I’m delighted that a leading international recruitment company like Church International is so committed to championing young talent and best practise,” says Jo Gregory of Flourish Recruitment Training. “The Church Academy will not only give these new consultants a priceless career advantage in terms of comprehensive and innovative recruitment skills training, but I hope it will also inspire many other young people to explore career opportunities in this flourishing professional sector.”
Chriss Andrews, CEO of Church International, added, “We believe that recruitment is about people and personal relationships and our establishment of the Church Academy reflects this. We’re excited to be investing time and money into young people who we feel have an exciting future in recruitment. In the same way that we look after our Clients, we want to inspire, guide and support our new recruits. Our entire team has progressed from the ground up so we understand what challenges they are likely to face, and through this scheme we hope to help them accomplish their full potential”.
