Eutopia continues international growth with a new South Africa office

Award winning talent acquisition firm Eutopia continues its international expansion with the launch of its Africa office next month, following the astonishing success of its UAE Dubai practice. Client demand, and a formidable growth trajectory in the region across technology/telecoms markets, makes the decision to launch in South Africa a key growth strategy for Eutopia.

The new South Africa team will be building on Eutopia’s reputation as previous winner of numerous awards, including Recruiter’s & lsquo;Best International Recruitment Firm’ and their prestigious Gold Award.

Eutopia is proud of its CSR initiatives in Africa, including its support of the Mara Foundation, one of Africa’s largest non-profit social enterprises promoting emerging African entrepreneurs. Darren Franks, Managing Director Eutopia MEA, is one of the mentors within its Mentorship Programme.  Eutopia also sponsors JENGA CDO, having funded numerous health, education and infrastructure community projects in Uganda. With such strong commercial and charity connections to Africa, the launch of the new office demonstrates Eutopia’s commitment to the region.

Darren will lead a highly qualified team with over 25 years’ experience in the Sub-Saharan Africa market. Based in Cape Town, the team opted for this thriving & lsquo;Silicon Africa’ hub over Johannesburg or Nairobi, due to its growing reputation as a continental technology centre. As Darren explains, it is about thinking global and acting local: “Cape Town is a booming city for high tech and emerging technologies, so it made sense to base the new office there. Covering both the domestic and African markets across the region, we will be offering both permanent recruitment and contract services to our clients and candidates. The new office will provide us with a valuable springboard to the African continent and offer a more local service to our key clients.”

Craig Coverman, Global CEO at Eutopia, sees the development as a continuation of strong EMEA performance: “We’ve achieved enormous success in both the UK and Dubai over the past 11 years. We always planned to open an office in Africa as 35% of our business comes from the African market but there was, until now, no physical footprint there. South Africa is an excellent market and gives the business good access to the rest of Africa. We look forward to making the new office every bit as successful as our Dubai office.”
