Integra People Extends Apprenticeship Scheme

Integra People Extends Apprenticeship Scheme

Warrington technical recruitment agency Integra People has recruited its first Apprentice in a bid to help local young people get into the workplace and train the company’s future workforce.

Integra, based in Birchwood, appointed Georgia Woodward, 20, from Warrington, as a Payroll Apprentice last month and, to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week (5-11 March), has already announced plans to recruit two more Apprentices.

David Lewis, Group Managing Director for Integra People, said: “We decided to take on an Apprentice to support young people from the local area and give them the opportunity to get a head start in their career.

“With an Apprentice you can train them in the style of your business from the outset and they also bring a lot of enthusiasm and fresh ideas.

“We’ve found the scheme so successful that we’ve already decided to recruit another two Payroll Apprentices this month.”

Georgia divides her time between working for Integra People four days a week and studying for a qualification in payroll at Warrington Collegiate.

Georgia said: “I decided to do an Apprenticeship as you get the best of both worlds. I learn theory work at College one day a week which I then put into practice when working in the office.

“An Apprenticeship offers lots of hands-on experience so you develop skills and pick up a lot of knowledge very quickly.”

Integra People is an award-winning technical recruitment consultancy providing temporary, contract and permanent resourcing solutions to the IT and telecoms, construction, engineering, defence, automotive and aerospace industry sectors across the UK.
