Manchester recruiters expansion plans
Manchester recruiter’s expansion plans
Family owned recruitment specialist, Connections is increasing its client and candidate reach and has ambitious plans to grow by 20 per cent and employ two new staff this year.
The company, founded in 1985, employs 15 recruitment specialists and operates from offices in Manchester city centre, Sale and Stockport. The business currently turns over £5 million and is looking to increase this by 20 per cent. Connections is run by MD Marian Dobkin and her children Jonathan Dobkin and Michelle Kingsley.
The agency has just promoted their first apprentice, Lydia Whitelegg, to a trainee recruitment consultant and is planning to take on a second to train them in all administrative aspects of the job.
The business works with clients from sole traders to global PLCs and recruits for roles in administration, customer services, accounting, finance, HR, recruitment, logistics, buying, textiles, sales and marketing. The agency is now broadening its offering and recruiting for IT and engineering posts.
Jonathan Dobkin, co-owner of Connections, said:
“We’re one of Manchester’s longest standing recruiters and this year we’ve set ambitious growth targets we’re confident we’ll smash. Our plan has always been to grow the business organically and expand our divisional offering. We plan to invest in our team, take on more apprentices and take on two more staff this year. We’re a business success story at a time when many of our competitors are shutting up shop.”
Over the past 28 years Connections has placed in excess of 15,000 people in permanent jobs throughout the North West and employs over 200 people a week.
