Stellar Performance at Staffgroup

Staffgroup, the parent company of Eurostaff Group and Earthstaff, providing recruitment solutions to the Finance, Technology and Energy sectors worldwide has announced its unaudited financial results from 2012 and they show significant growth across all areas of the business.

Highlights include total group turnover rising by 74% on the previous period to &pound34.2m  gross profit increasing to &pound9.3m, a 66% increase on the previous period and net profit rising by over 50% to &pound2.2m.  Mark Znowski, Staffgroup’s managing director is delighted with the results:

“Last year saw some significant changes in the business including the incorporation of Staffgroup and Earthstaff and a concentrated effort to highlight the Finance and Technology specialisms of Eurostaff and this has paid off when reviewing our 2012 figures.  What makes the results especially pleasing is that every single area of our business contributed regardless of industry or location.

Beyond the headline figures, Earthstaff and Eurostaff’s contract divisions increased their gross profit by 67% (to &pound5.7m) compared to the last period with the permanent divisions seeing an uplift of 64% (to &pound3.6m).  We are developing some of the best talent in the recruitment industry and providing them with the opportunities to succeed and these results only reinforce that.”

Mark believes that the business model employed by Staffgroup will only see future success in the coming years:

“We set out last year with the vision to become the leading privately owned & lsquo;specialist international recruitment business’ and we are well on course to do that.  Since myself and Paul (Flynn) set up the business 10 years ago we are proud that we have grown completely organically and had year-on-year success.  That trend continued in 2012. It is testament to the hard work and attitude of every single member of staff that we have increased placements by 52% compared to the previous period and have processed over 2,600 contractor invoices in 39 countries (a 129% increase) despite working against a backdrop of uncertainty in the global economy.

We are not resting on our laurels though, we want 2013 and beyond to see further successes for the business and our teams.  We have increased staff numbers by 32% in 12 months, opened an office in Berlin and made significant investments into the infrastructure of the business including building a dedicated in-house learning and development function – all of this will contribute to further growth, further opportunity and further success.”
