Classpeople launches Exeter Office

Classpeople, a leading specialist recruitment consultancy in the education sector, headquartered in Gloucestershire, has opened a fifth office in Exeter to support their growing team at their head office in Cheltenham.

The Exeter office is based in the landmark Senate building in the city centre and will recruit teachers across Devon in Exeter, Torbay and Plymouth, as well as across the counties of Cornwall and Dorset.

The new office will be managed by Sam Leach, who has more than eight years experience in the recruitment sector. In line with Classpeople's development strategy, Sam will be responsible for the growth and day to day running of the new office.

As an independent teaching agency founded by a Qualified Teacher, Classpeople aim to combine first-class recruitment with traditional education values. Passionate about supporting supply staff and raising the standards of supply teaching in the region, Classpeople places great importance on its staff to always ensure they put the best interests of children, schools and teachers at the heart of the recruitment process.

Prior to joining Classpeople, Sam specialised in education at Hays plc and is an established recruiter in the Exeter area, with a focus on primary school staffing, Special Educational Needs (SEN) and teaching assistants. Sam is now looking forward to expanding on her already invaluable recruitment experience and putting her strong existing relationships with both teachers and schools to use.

Commenting on her new position, Sam said: "I jumped at the chance to join Classpeople as they came so highly recommended. The agency has such a great position in the marketplace, being totally independent, and together I think we can provide a truly tailored service to the Exeter area, which until now has only been catered for by corporate recruitment agencies."

Lynis Bassett, Managing Director of Classpeople, added: "We're delighted to welcome Sam to the Classpeople family and thrilled to be branching further afield with the opening of our new office. Sam really understands the demands of the teachers and schools in the area which will be invaluable to our success. We are delighted that we have Sam on board to strengthen our team to provide the best recruitment service in our market."

Classpeople offer an alternative to the standard supply teaching recruitment process to best match their teachers with the individual ethos and culture of a school. The agency was launched back in 2003 by Lynis Bassett and has grown into a leading market provider with offices now in Bristol, Swindon and Worcester, as well as the head office in Cheltenham.
