FCSA Comment On Consultation

Commenting on the FCSA’s response to the Government’s consultation on reforming regulation of the flexible workforce, Stuart Davis, Chairman of the FCSA says:

“The FCSA has today submitted its response to the Government’s consultation on reforming the regulatory framework for employment agencies and employment businesses. The flexible workforce is growing at a rapid rate, and each day it plays a crucial role in delivering Britain’s economic recovery. But the flexible workforce’s successes have come despite it having to swim against the tide of bureaucracy and red tape. The current legislative and regulatory framework for the flexible workforce is outdated, ineffective, confusing and in large parts simply unnecessary. The flexible workforce has huge potential it stand ready to employ more people, deliver better services, and play an even bigger role in helping the economy to recover. But the flexible workforce needs to be set free. As such, the FCSA fully supports the Government’s aim of removing the bureaucracy and red tape created by current legislation. We firmly hope that the Government’s action will live up to its rhetoric”
