HMRC to speak on tackling tax avoidance at ALP AGM

A senior HMRC representative will speak on government measures to tackle tax avoidance and evasion at the Association of Labour Providers 2013 AGM on 14th May at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs offices in Westminster.

Specifically the HMRC will update ALP members on its plans for:

Tackling avoidance and evasion amongst labour providers – including intermediaries, T & S and personal tax relief schemes.

The General Anti-Abuse Rule (GAAR) – What will it mean to labour providers?

Offshore Employment Intermediaries – What is going to happen?

Proposals to target promoters of tax avoidance schemes

Paul Broadbent, Gangmasters Licensing Authority Chief Executive will also attend the AGM to outline the 2013-2016 GLA Strategic Plan for Protecting Vulnerable and Exploited Workers.
