Morson Miss Out In The National

Morson were cheering for two horses at this weekend’s annual John Smith’s Grand National – Harry the Viking and What a Friend – both part-owned by Morson CEO, Ged Mason, and Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Grand National – arguably the world’s most famous steeplechase – took place on Saturday at Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool. Over 40 horses took part on the challenging course, that features 30 fences over a 4.5 mile circuit.

Ged Mason comments: “I was very excited to have two horses feature in this year’s steeplechase – we’re delighted they run but disappointed with the overall result, especially as we wanted to involve all Morson employees in the day, so I placed &pound500 each way on both horses - if they were  successful then the winnings would have gone to our employees.”
