NES Global Talent Grows Australian Offices with Experienced Hires

NES Global Talent, the technical manpower specialist, has boosted numbers at its Perth, Melbourne and Darwin offices with three new hires.

Martin Hickson has been appointed as Recruitment Manager in Perth while Anthony Pettifor joins as Senior Recruitment Consultant and Stewart Nicholson as Recruitment Consultant in Melbourne and Darwin respectively. The offices in Melbourne and Darwin opened last year.

Martin, who has 12 years’ recruitment experience, will focus on developing the company’s permanent business. “We are still working in a buoyant and demanding market in Western Australia, we have to ensure we are strategic in our approach to add value to our clients and become the consultancy of choice with both our client and candidates,” he said.

Anthony has eight years’ recruitment experience, working in Malaysia before moving to Melbourne over five years ago and specialising in placing both contract and permanent candidates into the energy industry.

With a focus on oil and gas and civil construction, Stewart also has eight years’ industry experience. Talking about the talent challenges he expects to face, he said: “Major resources projects are largely new to Darwin so there is a shortage of experienced and skilled candidates across the board. Although this will improve in time, in the meantime sourcing candidates from a wider area will be necessary. It is here that NES Global Talent can guarantee our clients’ needs by sourcing candidates from the global talent pool.”

Marcus Ward, Associate Director at NES Global Talent, said: “We’re delighted that Martin, Anthony and Stewart have decided to join us. All three bring years of experience and will help us grow our business across Australia.”

Marcus added: “2012 was one of the most successful years in our 35-year history and 2013 promises to be even better. This continued success is largely due to our focus on our value proposition – guaranteed staffing solutions, engineered from the global talent pool, by discipline specific consultants – which highlights our ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional service to both clients and candidates.”

“Our global network of offices has been opened strategically within oil and gas hubs, such as Perth, Brisbane, Port Moresby, Melbourne and Darwin, to mirror the geographical footprint of our key clients, meaning we can deliver the challenging staffing projects that others cannot.”

“As well as making sure we are in the locations where we are needed most, we work hard to put clients and candidates at the heart of everything we do, We offer a whole spectrum of client support services ranging from payroll through to a complete recruitment process outsourcing service along with additional support to our contractors including global healthcare insurance, visas, security and travel and mobilisation support. It is this people-centric approach that we believe sets us apart.”
