Apprenticeship scheme helps Venn Group to receive CIPP accreditation

Specialist contract and interim recruitment consultancy Venn Group has been awarded the Payroll Quality Partnership (PQP) accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP). Auditors recognised the value of the company’s highly praised ATT apprenticeship scheme, which is now in its fourth year. The objective of PQP is to raise the profile of payroll while helping organisations get the most from their payroll function by encouraging them to maintain professional competence and enhancing and developing payroll skills and knowledge.

Organisations which have been recognised for their competence in this area benefit from improved performance management, lower staff turnover and absence, and increased payroll staff morale as the organisation invests in their development, increased efficiency and focused learning and development.

Commenting on the accreditation, Keith Wilmott, Venn Group’s Chief Financial Officer, said: “I am delighted to confirm that after six months’ hard graft our payroll team has been awarded the prestigious CIPP accreditation status. CIPP visited Venn to assess our payroll team’s staff training and development processes and commitment to best practice. Staff development is at the heart of Venn Groups corporate culture and I am proud to say that the CIPP has recognised our cohesive approach to CPD including our hugely successful apprenticeship scheme.”

Mr Lindsay Melvin, Chief Executive of the CIPP, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Venn Group Ltd has now joined the ranks of organisations to achieve the PQP accreditation. This award demonstrates their dedication and commitment to their payroll staff’s professional development which in turn should help improve their performance and morale. We give them our wholehearted congratulations.”
