APSCo invited to BIS consult on AWR paperwork review

Following news that the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) has launched a review of the paperwork obligations with regard to the Agency Workers’ Regulations, APSCo has been invited to a round table to present feedback from its members about their practical experience of the processes they follow in order to ensure compliance.

Samantha Hurley, Head of External Relations at APSCo says: “While the AWR came from an EU Directive and is consequently an immovable feast, it is encouraging to see BIS recognising that the vast majority of recruitment firms are trying to comply and that they are looking at how the regulations can be implemented in the simplest way possible.”

“We have obviously been keeping in close contact with BIS regarding the review and are pleased to have the opportunity of presenting both our own and our members’ views at the round table meetings which will take place in August. We hope that by scrutinising the process by which these regulations are being implemented there will be opportunities to make the process more efficient and therefore less onerous for our members. ”
