GI GROUP SUPPORTS YOUNG ENTERPRISE

GI Group was proud to support the YOUNG Enterprise Company of the Year 2013, sponsoring an award and attending the recent regional finals that took place at Leeds Football Club.

Four regional finalists were judged across a number categories, with the overall winner going on to compete at the UK final in London in July. Phoenix from Ampleforth College in York clinched the top prize for their Yorkshire-based gastro cookbook. Meanwhile, Ay Up Duck from The Academy at Ridgewood Trust in Doncaster scooped the Gi Group-sponsored Best Marketing, Sales and Customer Focus for their Yorkshire based colloquiums products.

Gi Group’s Sally Hewick, General Manager – North, and Sue Catley, Corporate Account Manager, attended the event to lend their support and celebrate the achievements of all the finalists and winners. “The level of Professionalism and skills of all teams displayed was of the highest level and the judging panel certainly had a challenge to decide on the winners,” commented Sally.

Gi Group has been involved in volunteering with Young Enterprise over the last couple of years and in 2013/2014 will be supporting two schools financially to help deliver the Learn to Earn programme as well as supporting two company programmes.
