Phaidon International Nurtures Talent

Award winning staffing group, Phaidon International has implemented a mentoring programme designed to develop the group’s Senior Managers across global locations.

The goal of the programme is to ensure the group, now with 7 micro-specialist brands and 4 international offices, remains well connected as it experiences further rapid growth.

The programme, introduced by Sarah Mason - HR Director, is designed to up skill managers by sharing best practise experience with colleagues.

“Developing our future leaders is our number one priority and mentoring plays a significant role in achieving that goal.  Mentoring allows us to share best practice, build internal relationships across global locations and ensure visibility of our emerging talent” explained Sarah Mason, HR Director.

The mentoring programme stems from the 70:20:10 model (Michael M. Lombardo and Robert W. Eichinge) and advocates that only 10% of learning takes place in the classroom, 20% through methods such as coaching and mentoring and 70% happens on the job.

“As well as proving popular with the management team, I’m finding mentoring has helped me stay close to the business and spot those with high potential sooner than I would have previously” said Adam Buck, CEO.

Phaidon International values and nurtures talent from graduate to board level and welcomes high potential individuals who believe they can contribute to the future expansion of the group.
