CRG Secures Landmark Medical Locum Contract

Recruitment and health service provider, CRG (Castlerock Recruitment Group), has been awarded a landmark contract with Government Procurement Service (GPS), on behalf of the NHS in England and Wales.

As part of the multi-supplier framework agreement, CRG Doctors – a specialist sub-brand of CRG – will provide locum doctors and GPs to NHS bodies, as well as to the wider public sector.

CRG Doctors is one of 39 providers to have been appointed to the framework agreement, 32 of which supply to Lot 2, for which CRG Doctors will provide staff.

The CRG Doctors framework agreement supports the Government’s aim to deliver significant, sustainable savings for the taxpayer by centralising, standardising and aggregating procurement spend for the provision of locum doctors and GPs.

Ian Munro, CEO of CRG, said: “This is a landmark agreement for CRG Doctors and we are delighted to be working in partnership with GPS to provide core services to the public sector. This contract further cements CRG’s credentials as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of healthcare professionals and will boost our presence within this sector.”

CRG Doctors was awarded the contract following a full tender process. The framework agreement will run for an initial two-year period, with an option to extend for a further two years.

CRG Doctors is a leading supplier of medical practitioners, locums and general practitioners. It is part of CRG, a health service provider and recruitment group that was established in 2000.
