Darwin Recruitment the IT & Telecoms specialist takes part in Hire me Bootcamp sessions

Darwin Recruitment the IT & Telecoms specialist takes part in & lsquo;Hire me’ Bootcamp sessions at Anglia Ruskin University.

International technology recruiter Darwin helps graduates to prepare for interviews in a & lsquo;Hire Me’ Bootcamp.

Darwin Recruitment, the Billericay based international recruitment firm, took part in sessions last week with local university graduates to help them prepare for job applications and interviews. In partnership with Anglia Ruskin University’s internal employability team as an exploratory pilot session, Darwin assisted in the delivery of a day long programme that was designed to give graduates a better understanding of what employers look for and to role-play what they had learned in mock interviews. The & lsquo;Rec to Rec’ agency, Rite Recruit, also helped with the mock interviews.  “Our students greatly value the opportunity to receive input from employers and it was with this in mind that we worked closely with Darwin to devise the & lsquo;Hire Me’ day. Feedback has been very positive and the students went away feeling better equipped for the job market ” says Laura Sinclair, Faculty Employability Adviser at Anglia Ruskin.

The programme included CV surgery and applications, how to create and manage your online profile, practical breakouts and interview techniques. David Gittings, Darwin’s Training and Development Manager explains “As professional recruiters we see the traits that the most employable people possess and it’s not always about having the best grades.  We wanted to make the day interactive so that the students could practice what they had heard in presentations. We also ran lunch as an & lsquo;employer role play’ for feedback on communication and social skills”.

Darwin recently achieved 75th position in JobCrowd’s Top 100 Companies for Graduates to work for Awards. As a fast track, Hot 100 Recruiter, Darwin employs graduates with potential to train and then work as recruitment consultants.

With offices based in Amsterdam and Switzerland, 98% of Darwin’s clients are based in Europe where it exports its recruitment services. Darwin sources candidates globally and places them into major international E-Commerce and Telecoms firms across 13 countries in Europe.
