Empiric takes new approach to City recruitment with new office

Personal and social relationships at forefront of office design

F1 car, golf simulator, bar aimed at facilitating networking

Empiric, the specialist City recruitment firm, is taking a radical new approach to recruitment and the working environment with the opening of its new office.

Situated on Old Jewry in the heart of the City, Empiric’s new office is aimed at encouraging personal and social relationships between employees, clients and candidates by providing a venue for them to socialise.

The firm’s new office includes a Formula 1 car with racing simulator, a golf simulator, and a bar and coffee bar.

Sam Kamyar, Managing Director of Empiric, comments: “At the centre of our strategy is the development of relationships – both with City businesses, and with all those working within Empiric’s key market segments.”

“We aim to be at the heart of the sectors we focus on, and that’s why we have completely changed the environment we work in.”

“We’re opening our doors to anyone in our sectors to come in and work on their handicap on our golf simulator, or try to win the Monaco grand prix. They will have the opportunity to socialise with peers and employers in the financial services sector, and develop their networks.”

“Too often, recruitment is seen as a transactional exercise. We’re working to add value for candidates and clients alike, not just through our market knowledge and insight into pay rates and trends, but by providing them with a new space to meet, socialise and network.”

“Recruitment boils down to introducing the right people to each other. Our new office is a totally new concept in how a recruiter can facilitate this process.”

“In addition, our new working environment gives Empiric’s hard-working staff the opportunity to take a break from the highly-competitive industry we work in.”

Empiric specialises in recruiting staff in a range of niche financial services markets, including trading technologies, over the counter derivatives clearing, and collateral management.

Empiric moved from its previous home in the iconic Gherkin due to the firm’s expansion. The company currently employs 50 people in London and another 12 at its Singapore office. The new office has space for 120 employees, and Empiric is actively recruiting in all its practice areas.
