Gloucestershire apprentice, Kirsten Ball, honoured at House of Lords for her outstanding practice

Expectations! Recruitment Services is celebrating the success of their outstanding apprentice, Kirsten Ball, who was recently praised at a prestigious House of Lords reception. Kirsten, who is 21-years-old, was nominated by Gloucestershire-based employers Expectations! in recognition of her hard work and commitment, in her customer services and sales role.

Kirsten was commended at a & lsquo;Celebration of Apprenticeships’ event, amongst twenty-five other apprentices, staged by West Nottinghamshire College Group. Selected from the Mansfield-based college group’s crop of 12,000 apprentices across the country the finalists were chosen for their incredible talent, dedication and contribution to their workplace.

Kirsten was one of fourteen trained through Vision Workforce Skills, a subsidiary of the college group, which saw her presented with a glass trophy and certificate from Andrew Jones MP, Apprenticeships Ambassador in Parliament. The event, held in the historic building’s Cholmondeley Room, was hosted by cross-bench peer Baroness Prashar CBE with guest speaker Matthew Hancock MP, Skills Minister.

Kirsten was overwhelmed with the success and comments on what the accolade means to her “I am really honoured to have received this award and it was a momentous occasion visiting the House of Lords. I’ve had so much support from Abi and the team at Expectations! Recruitment Services and without them I would not have been able to accomplish what I have so far. ”

Abi Howell, Manager of Expectations! Recruitment Services and award-nominator comments “We are so pleased for Kirsten she has been a perfect example of what employers can expect in an apprentice. Her hard work, enthusiasm and ability to deliver results have been exceptional and we look forward to continuing to see her grow.”
