First Point Group Become National Champions

First Point Group, a leading recruiter in the global Telecoms marketplace, has been selected as a National Champion in the 2013/14 European Business Awards. They will be representing the UK in The BP Target Neutral Growth Strategy of the Year category. This accolade has been presented for their focus on organic growth in terms of the business and headcount, expansion of their international network of staffed offices and further supported by offering new services to the global Telecoms industry.

Alistair Rynish, CEO for First Point Group, is delighted with this latest award for the business, “It is always good to win an award, especially so in this case as one of the main sponsors, Millicom, is in our field of telecoms and we hope it will raise our profile with them. It is also good to see we are flying the flag for recruitment, as the only UK firm to be selected as a National Champion.  I believe the UK has some outstanding UK recruitment companies and often leads the international market. Whether we are working in Shanghai or Sudan you can bet our competitors will be another British headquartered firm. So good to be recognised for all our hard work.”

Established in 2007, The European Business Awards primary purpose is to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe and promote success, innovation and ethics.  Last year’s awards participants represented a combined turnover of over &euro1 trillion Euros (8.23% of EU GDP)*, employing over 2.7 million people.

The BP Target Neutral Growth Strategy of the Year Award will be presented to the organisation that best demonstrates an international organic growth strategy that has achieved outstanding levels of sales, profit and market share improvement.

As a National Champion, First Point Group will now go on to compete in the second phase of the competition for the chance to receive the coveted 2013/14 Ruban d’Honneur status. Success at this stage will ensure they are in the running to win the European Business Award in their chosen category.
