Carlisle Support Is Clear
Carlisle Support Is Clear
Carlisle Managed Solutions has joined its partner, global law firm Eversheds, in supporting leading inclusive recruitment body, The Clear Company. The Clear Company audits organisations to ensure that their hiring policies are inclusive of and fair to disabled people.
As a long-standing advocate of diversity in business, Carlisle has signed up to the ClearAssured programme. ClearAssured, run by The Clear Company, is a way for companies to commit to seeking out any of their processes that may hinder disabled people and correcting them.
The programme features an "amber" status or 'Working towards ClearAssured', meaning that a company is taking steps towards improving, and a "green" status when it has become 'Proud to be ClearAssured'. Carlisle has said that it is "on the ClearAssured journey" and will work on its internal recruitment before looking to do the same with its clients.
Managing Director, Melanie Forbes, said, "We want to ensure that we are actively demonstrating best practice in making it far easier for disabled people to work and in taking our own journey better equipped to advise and share our experiences with our customers."
The new partnership with Eversheds
Eversheds is one of the biggest law firms in the world - operating from more than 40 offices globally.
Carlisle has secured a working partnership that allows it to supply permanent staff to Eversheds using its recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) service. Eversheds is also signed up to the ClearAssured programme, making this partnership even more significant.
Both companies hope to promote opportunities within their business and in the community.
Mardi Smouha, Resourcing Advisor for Eversheds says, "As an employer, we at Eversheds believe this is an initiative that can only be good for recruitment. Whilst we can make changes within our own organisation, it goes without saying that great practice in recruitment needs to go wider than just us. We are delighted to be partnered by Carlisle and our other suppliers who have demonstrated that they share the same values and are starting the journey towards an inclusive and level playing field for all prospective employees."
Kate Headley, Development Director for The Clear Company adds "This partnership is a significant one, as it highlights the role that ClearAssured is playing in the recruitment industry. We're thrilled that recruiters of all shapes and sizes are stepping up to the plate and making their commitment to becoming 'Proud to be ClearAssured'. It's also worth noting that suppliers have remained on the Eversheds supply list because of their commitment to becoming ClearAssured. As these organisations continue on their ClearAssured journeys individually and as a partnership we look forward to when we can announce them as 'Proud to be ClearAssured'."
