NEST and APSCo help employers navigate their pension automatic enrolment duties

NEST has joined forces with APSCo to help employers understand the process of enrolling temporary workers into an automatic enrolment scheme.

As part of the process, NEST is to offer webinars to help APSCo members navigate their automatic enrolment duties.

Richard Bartlett, head of market development at NEST, said: “Employers can do a great deal to make meeting their duties as pain-free as possible. If you already have a workplace pension provider, our advice is not to assume that your existing provider will be able to help all of your workers, start a conversation with them early on to see what they can do.

“Research shows that only 15% of small employers are able to correctly identify the types of workers who need to be assessed for automatic enrolment. It is information gaps like these that we want to help employers understand.”   APSCo’s Director of Member Services, Marilyn Davidson commented that “we have run a number of presentations and seminars for our members over the last 18 months, but as members’ staging dates are looming, we feel there’s a desire from our members to have more information on their obligations, and the service that NEST can offer.”

NEST and APSCo are holding a joint webinar for APSCo members on 26th September. You can register for the webinars by contacting Tijen Yusuf on Tijen.Yusuf@apsco.org.
